Why can’t I dive if I don’t know how to swim?

Scuba diving is an exciting and adventurous activity, but it also involves potential risks and hazards, especially for those who do not know how to swim. Here are some reasons why a person cannot do scuba diving if they do not know how to swim, based on security reasons:

  1. Ability to handle emergencies: Scuba diving involves being submerged in water, and if an emergency arises, a diver needs to be able to handle it effectively. Knowing how to swim is an essential skill for any diver, as it allows them to remain calm and maneuver in the water, which can be critical in an emergency situation.
  2. Buoyancy control: Proper buoyancy control is a fundamental skill for scuba diving, as it allows a diver to maintain their position in the water column and control their depth. Without the ability to swim, it is difficult to achieve proper buoyancy control, which can lead to uncontrolled ascents or descents, putting the diver at risk.
  3. Safety measures: Scuba diving requires the use of various safety measures, such as the ability to swim to the surface in case of equipment failure or an emergency. Without the ability to swim, a diver may not be able to execute these safety measures, putting themselves and others at risk.
  4. Fatigue: Scuba diving can be physically demanding, requiring a considerable amount of energy to swim and maneuver in the water. A person who does not know how to swim may become fatigued quickly, which can increase the risk of accidents or medical emergencies.

How to get there?

There are several methods, if you are within the hotel zone of Cancun, that is, on the street called Boulevard Kukulcan, you can safely use the public buses that pass on the same avenue. We suggest you review a map to find out where your nearest stop is and the nearest drop-off stop to our facilities.

The other option that we can recommend and sometimes it is more comfortable and cheaper than the taxi is the private transfer service, in which a private vehicle will pick you up at your hotel and once the diving is finished it will be waiting for you to take you back.

Do you have parking?

Sure, you can park right outside in the reserved spots.
